Frequently asked questions
- Are M-Pesa transactions of KES 100 and below free?
- Yes. Sending money to registered M-Pesa users and PayBill payments of KES 100 and below are zero-rated (0 KES transaction fee). Pay-to-Paybill charges above KES 100 follow Safaricom's published tariff table.
- What is the difference between Buy Goods (Till) and PayBill?
- Buy Goods (Till) is always free of transaction fees for customers when purchasing goods and services; the merchant covers the processing tariff. Safaricom's published Pay-to-Paybill table ranges from KES 0 to KES 54.
- How does the Reverse 'Send With Withdrawal Fee' calculator work?
